Biography
Rajiv Vij MD, MBA, MPH, is the distinguished nephrologist leading the Longview Kidney Care, Dr. Vij is an expert in kidney care. With a comprehensive background and over two decades of clinical experience, Dr. Vij is committed to delivering exceptional kidney care to the Longview and East Texas community.
Education and Training
Dr. Vij is certified in Internal Medicine & Nephrology and has achieved scores in the top 5% in Nephrology Certification exam. He has full unrestricted license to practice medicine & nephrology in Texas & Louisiana. Dr. Vij’s extensive training began with his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from Government Medical College in Nagpur, India. He furthered his education with a Master of Public Health from the University of Illinois Chicago, followed by an Internal Medicine Residency at Norwalk Hospital/Yale in Connecticut. His specialization in nephrology was honed during a fellowship at North Shore Long Island Jewish Hospital, where he also served as Chief Fellow.In addition to his medical training, Dr. Vij has earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Tennessee Haslam College of Business, achieving a perfect GPA, and a Physician Entrepreneurship certification, highlighting his dedication to combining medical expertise with strategic business acumen.
Kelly Hodge
APRN, FNP-C, AGACNP-BC
Biography
Kelly Hodge, APRN is a board-certified acute care adult gerontological and family nurse practitioner with over 7 years of experience. Kelly specializes in a wide range of skills and patient populations including emergency medicine, diagnostic cardiology (including cardiothoracic surgery), family practice and has a deep-rooted passion for nephrology and how it affects the lives of so many. She spent most of her career in the local health systems serving this immediate community at Longview Regional Medical Center in cardiothoracic surgery and at Christus Heart and Vascular. Kelly is dedicated to providing compassionate and personalized care to every patient at each encounter. She is recognized for her expertise in complex cases, addressing social determinants of health and family dynamics.
Education and Training
Kelly completed her Master of Science in nursing degree at Corpus Christi earning her family practice certification and continued her advancement expanding to Texas Tech for her acute care accreditation. She actively participates in remaining fully engaged in medical updates and advancements. Outside of her practice, Kelly Hodge enjoys spending time with her family, strengthening her faith, and advocating for patients. She is very involved in her communities health and awareness and regularly participates in mission assignments to assist the underserved populations.
